Our Trustees have been involved with children with cerebral palsy for many years as professionals, parents or people with disabilities themselves.
Anne Emerson trained as a speech and language therapist in 1979. She has an MSc in human communication and graduated with a PhD in December 2005. While training teachers to work with communication impaired children in India, she learned Facilitated Communication (FC). Subsequently she managed a 4 year research programme in FC and currently works at Nottingham Trent University as a research fellow.
